"She has 100% changed my life"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Occupational Therapy

(as a service user),

Miracle baby after a decade of infertility. Within days of the accident, I was unable to move my legs, I was in incredible pain and at times was not even able to pick up my 6 month old, what followed was months of doctors, and test and bad news after bad news.

Currently I have irreparable nerve damage from my L3 to L5 part of my spine, I have chronic pain, reduced mobility, muscle spasms, muscle atrophy and permanent incontinence. I had been diagnosed with agoraphobia and depression, and I was just really struggling mentally, I did not know what to do or how to feel.

After some appointments, MRIs, prescriptions, and a stint with the Phycology for chronic pain, I landed into Fionas office, and I can honestly say, I thank God every day for the time I've had wit her and all the help she's been able to provide me with, she has 100% changed my life.

Dear Belgz45

Many thanks for taking the time to share your experience of working alongside one of our Occupational Therapists in Primary Care, Fiona.

I am delighted to hear of the progress you have made with Fiona's support. It sounds like this has really had such a positive impact across both your physcial and mental health.

All feedback is gratefully received, I will make sure to pass this on to Fiona and the wider team. It is fantastic to hear the difference occupational therapy can make.

May I take this opportunity to with you well,
Sam
