"First baby immunisation"

About: Central Vaccination Service - Angus

(as a parent/guardian),

Attended Abbey Health Centre, Arbroath, for second child’s first immunisations appointment.

Greeted by lovely nurse called Charis and taken to the room where he was fussed over which put me at ease. I questioned the adrenaline dose for paediatric anaphylaxis and location of anaphylactic equipment immediately put at ease and reassured!

Chatted and the relevant identification and safety checklist completed.

Charis was very  kind, great with kids and compassionate.

Rotovirus drops and paracetamol taken well and vaccines  over quickly. More baby attention and mum chat .

Reassuring, sound advice  and safety netting provided was all Clear and concise . What a Lovely paediatric nurse. Would like her or pat every time!!

In Ancient Greek, "Charis" (Χάρις) translates to grace, favour or kindness, this is definitely her, just without the Greek goddess tan!

Dear taurusqd83,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. I have passed your feedback onto the Senior Charge Nurse for the Childhood Immunisation's Team who will be able to share this with Charis.

The Childhood immunisation Team have a separate Care Opinion page if you search for 'Health visiting / Childhood immunisations'.

Hopefully you can share your feedback there as well.

Kind regards,

Stephanie Anthony

Senior Charge Nurse, Angus Vaccination Team.
