I recently had my daughter in the children’s emergency department in Craigavon as she was very ill. My daughter is autistic and this was a huge hurdle for her. We were met by the loveliest doctor named Joe, who went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable. He was so patient, kind and caring towards my daughter and to us, her parents. He really went above and beyond. As a parent of an autistic child hospital visits can be a very stressful time but for the first time ever, I can say all of us were completely at ease. His understanding and patience towards her needs was so comforting. Thank you Joe and I hope everyone appreciates your kindness.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience of the Emergency department at CAH. It is so lovely to read that Joe went above and beyond to ensure your daughters needs were met and that she was comfortable with all elements of her care. This is a huge relief for any parent. I will share you compliments with Joe. I hope your daughter is recovering well following her recent illness.
