"Abuse from staff"

About: Royal United Hospital

(as the patient),

Would like to complain about the abuse I received recently from a nurse in the RUH hospital in the Parry ward.

At 8 pm I asked the nurse if my pain killer was ready but was told I needed to wait until after the handover, which was fine

After the meeting finished and 10 minutes had passed, I pressed my bed buzzer, but a further 15 minutes passed with no contact so I walked into the corridor and asked the nurse if my pain killer was ready, but they were rude and said it wasn’t ready and I will have to wait.

I went back to the the ward and said to the patient in the bed beside me is that the nurse that wouldn’t help the other night, and with this the nurse came in screaming and shouting abuse in a threatening way, pointing and saying you don’t say my colleagues are lazy, until another nurse stopped them and proceeded to tell me to not argue with their staff.

I’m scared and absolutely amazed that I can be treated in this way and nothing has been done to research the situation.

I asked if the nurse will be suspended for the rest off the night until researched, but was told no and the nurse appeared at the foot of my bed, again abusing me.

I have been in the hospital for 4 weeks with pancreatitis and now other serious problems.

Please respond asap.
