"Eye Clinic Appointment"

Recently attended the Eye Clinic with my daughter who has an infected, inflamed cyst on her eyelid.  The reception and nursing staff were excellent but the Eye Consultant left a lot to be desired, they didn’t explain what would take place and only uttered a handful of words which they mumbled and it was difficult to understand but we made out that they said -  this is going to hurt.

The consultant showed absolutely no empathy.  The process of incision and curettage was extremely painful and traumatic.  Thankfully the nurse offered her hand to squeeze.  There was no explanation about what the cyst was, whether this would resolve the problem or the likelihood of recurrence.   Thank goodness for the nursing and reception staff.   The consultant had zero bedside manner.
