Me and my wife have recently registered with the practice after a friend gave good feedback. She isn’t from oldham. Our experience has been really difficult and unsavoury.
My wife has been in agony for 14 days, rang 111 and been to the pharmacy but symptoms have not subsided. Trying to book an appointment has been an awful task, lady at reception has been good today and managed to get her an appointment after 3 days of being told go online .
Today my wife attended the appointment at 10:15. She got there 10:13 she was finding it difficult to find the surgery and she wasn’t helped by the pharmacy when she asked where the surgery is. She got to the receptionist at 10:20 reception was on the phone for 5-8 mins. Once she got off the phone and spoke to my wife . She told my wife she is over the 7 min marker and the doctor can’t see her (despite the difficulty she has been through).Which I find awful, especially when a person is in agony for 14 days, took 3 days to get an appointment . She left crying saying this is not a good way to treat people who are already not feeling well. She will be finding another practice. I tried ringing the practice to find out what happened, what can be done or speak to the practice manager, but I was 7 in queue and had to out the phone down due to being at work.
We are professionals who go beyond and above for our clients/patients but when we need a service we aren’t getting one due to bureaucratic processes.
I need book an appointment myself but after this , I’m dreading it and will be looking elsewhere.
Hope this helps others get a better service than we have.
Good luck everyone .
