"Very disappointed"

About: Eastfield Medical Centre

I have visited the surgery twice in the past four months about the coldness in my hands and feet. On the latter occasion, I was kept waiting for an hour after the scheduled appointment time. I understand the workload of the GPs and that appointments do overrun, but I neither received an explanation nor an apology for the delay. I explained my issue, and the doctor then tapped information into his computer, reviewing my previous blood results. He said nothing for a considerable time before asking me, 'What do you think is wrong?' You're the doctor, for goodness' sake! His English was not the best, and was difficult to understand. He checked my circulation and suggested that it appeared to be good, and then, predictably, I thought, suggested it could be 'Raynaud's disease' and if it was, there was nothing that could be done and 'I would have to put up with it for the rest of my life'. When he spoke, he, oddly, refused to make eye contact and stared off into the middle distance. I mentioned something about vitamin B12 deficiency that I read on the internet, and he said, 'OK, I'll ask for that to be included in the blood test'. I was told the surgery would contact me with the results. They didn't, so I contacted them myself and spoke to a receptionist who clearly didn't understand what she was reading - she said, as such. What's the point of telling test results like 'your HBA1C ' is normal, and not knowing what that meant when I asked her. She did say my vitamin D reading was on the low side, and go and buy some supplements.
