We have recently moved my family including elderly parents to lakeside. The difference in care is incredible. The reception staff at lakeside are friendly and helpful both over the phone and face to face. I visited today to have my coil changed. My previous GP practice outsourced to a private company. I couldn’t even get an appointment to get consent for the procedure through them and my coil change for HRT was well overdue. When I did have the coil change with outsourced company the experience was very mixed, some staff were lovely but some were not and the clinics clean but run down and cramped. When I changed to lakeside practice I mentioned this to the receptionist and she booked me in for a consent telephone call and for the procedure provisionally over the phone straight away. The GP called at the time allocated and explained the procedure well including the risks and benefits. When i attended for the procedure the GP and practice nurse were friendly and reassuring. I this will be my 5 coil and although it isn’t something you look forward to it has been the best experience. The environment was clean and calm and the GP and nurse were kind and reassuring. They have arranged GP home visits for my elderly father who is housebound. You can always get through on the phone and there is no online booking system. I would not hesitate in recommending Lakeside GP practice.
