I was spoken to in an unprofessional manner by a member of staff, who shouted at me to get out. In all the years that we attended hospital, this was degrading.
Firstly, the member of staff asked the child to give her glasses to me when waiting for MRI. I told them she can’t see without them & refused to let her be without them when waiting.
I was asked to move out & to wait in an area where beds/chairs were, I refused as contamination clearly wasn’t thought about, & I was brought back in to wait.
Mobile phone messages kept pinging, even though signage states to turn phones off & privacy was clearly not thought about either.
On finishing, the member of staff walked past, didn’t ask for child’s glasses, opened the door & left it open, did not state to wait where I was, so I followed in with glasses & to help child. They then started shouting to get out in front of child (who has numerous disabilities) & also another patient sitting behind curtain waiting.
They stated this could have been serious, but why did they leave the door open if so? A late appointment is not also professional as we clearly seen on this occassion.
