"My mum eyes hurt her so much"

About: Outpatients Department / Clinic 6 - Ophthalmology

(as a relative),

Mum has been to Derry Hospital 3 times, eye clinic 6.

We have recently been seen by Dr Matthews, and have to say a very good doctor, he was excellent...very good to her, very consistent and able to keep to appointment times...

This time we sit in eye clinic, nobody about as in it .... doesn't look busy... and another doctor not quite able to manage her appointment and taking other patients before my mum. 

And to be honest, doesn't seem as concerned as Dr Matthews. 

The waiting in a joke when someone is in serious pain

Dear cruxfx83,

I am Acting Sister for Ophthalmology clinics in Altnagelvin Hospital. Thank you for taking the time to post about your mums recent appointment to clinic. I am delighted to read that Dr Matthew Mo treated your mum well. I have shared your post with Dr Mo also and the wider ophthalmology team.

I would like to take this opportunity to explain that with in clinic there are many different teams and professionals working with different roles and appointment times. Patients can receive many different investigations and wait for same based on their clinical need.
