"I felt very safe and cared for"

About: Barnstaple Health Centre / Barnstaple Sexual Health

(as a service user),

Attended Barnstaple Health Centre to have my copper coil replaced with a hormonal one.

Dr Ang was fantastic!! She took time to explain all my options to me and discuss pros and cons with me, was very friendly and put me at ease straight away.

The procedure itself was very straightforward, every step was explained to me and I was reassured throughout. Tina was my chaperone for the appointment and she was also brilliant!! I felt very safe, well cared for and supported to make the right decision for me. After the procedure both Dr Ang and Tina took time to make sure I was feeling well and give me aftercare information before leaving.

Honestly couldn’t have had a better experience, thank you so much.

We are delighted to hear that when you attended for a coil refit, the procedure was very straightforward and all steps were explained. It is great that you found Dr Ang to be fantastic and friendly which helped to put you at ease.

Plus, it is lovely to know that you felt very safe, well cared for and supported during your consultation and after the procedure was complete, both Dr Ang and Tina checked on your well-being and provided you with aftercare information.
