"Seamless execution by all teams involved"

About: National Treatment Centre - Highland (Inverness) / Orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Yesterday I was admitted for a relatively small procedure.  On arrival everyone I spoke with was welcoming, helpful and very friendly.

The procedure and process was explained fully and in terms that were easily understood.  I feel this is very important as thankfully I’ve not had much experience with hospitals and theatre rooms.

I would like a special mention to Jane (theatre/anaesthesias nurse) to express my gratitude for the aforementioned and also her friendly, calm demeanour.  This is an invaluable trait when dealing with patients going into theatre, as this can clearly be a stressful and confusing time.  I can see by the way that she carried out her duties professionally but with the personal needs of the patient at the forefront that she has helped 1000’s of patients immeasurably during some of the worst days in their lives.  Absolute credit to the service.

I’d like to thank all the theatre staff for their professionalism but also being personable at the same time, the surgeon (apologies I forget his name) was superb at explaining the procedure beforehand and during.  Very friendly and calming demeanour.

That thanks and gratitude is also extended to all ward staff who were kind, friendly and explained everything that was required.  They made sure I had all I needed and even provided me with a lovely lunch post op.

All in all a wonderful experience, seamless execution by all teams involved from start to finish
