"Caring and compassionate staff"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Medical Assessment Unit (MAU)

(as a relative),

My husband was admitted to MAU at the RAH a few weeks ago and although it was a difficult time as a family, we have to say the staff in the unit were nothing short of amazing. Every member of staff we came in contact with were genuine and kind, nothing was a bother although they were always busy.

Special shout out has to go to the triage nurse Debbie who picked up on my husbands symptoms early, she then looked after him on the ward and kept us updated with the medics plans throughout. We felt fully informed by herself and the medics (thank you Mackenzie). Also many thanks to auxiliary nurse Lucy, she was a star!

Dear Joansndjoan

Thank you so much for your heartfelt message and for taking the time to share your experience of attending the Medical Assessment Unit of the Royal Alexandra Hospital. We understand how stressful it can be when a loved one is unwell, and we're truly grateful to hear that our team was able to provide care, kindness, and clear communication during such a difficult time.

We will ensure your thanks are passed on to the staff who I'm sure will be very touched to know their efforts made such a positive difference to you and your husband.

Wishing your husband continued recovery.

Kind regards

Kevin
