Routine tooth removal surgery due to tooth being under the gum. From admission into Ward 30 Ninewells Hospital, the care was high quality from doctors, dentists, nurse and student nurses.
Surgery went well however upon return to ward she developed some worrying symptoms which included delayed breathing and difficult to rouse.
The nurses were so responsive and caring, anaesthetists returned and assessed her and included my views and worries and a plan of action was discussed, making sure I was happy with it. The nurses kept a close eye on her and raised any concerns immediately.
Everyone involved in her care were absolute amazing, including the student nurses.
Not only were they great with my daughter they made sure I was reassured in such a scary situation which helped keep me calm and know she was being treated with the best possible care.
While all were amazing, caring and friendly I would like to mention Imogen the staff nurse who previously cared for her in ward 29 and again was so kind her care was memorable so seeing her again gave us the reassurance.
She is the essence of person centred care and born to be a nurse!
"She was being treated with the best possible care"
