"I can’t thank everyone enough"

About: Golden Jubilee National Hospital / Cardiac Surgery Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Cardiac Rehabilitation

(as the patient),

In the middle of December 2024 I was in my work and became unwell I was taken to the QEUH when I was told I was having a massive heart attack.

The staff were amazing and had me blue lighted to the golden jubilee where I had 2 stents fitted. When I was allowed home I was scared and nervous to do anything, I then went for an appointment in January at the QEUH cardiac rehab.

Theresa and Craig gave me the confidence to exercise again and ask question without feeling silly, I then started a walking group with them it has been great. I’m finishing now but they have a class at night I can go to so I’m not just left to it.

Donna the cardiac nurse was great checking me over and answer question on medication.

I can’t thank everyone enough it’s been a life line thank you so much 😊

Dear Memberqq46

Thank you very much for this excellent feedback for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service and Team.

I'm pleased to hear that you found the service so helpful in your recovery following your heart attack. It's also encouraging to note that you felt comfortable enough to ask questions without feeling silly, and that the care you've received here has helped your confidence. I hope you enjoy the evening class as much.

I have passed on your thanks to Theresa, Craig and Donna. Once again, thank you very much for this wonderful feedback.

Wishing you well in your continued recovery.

Best wishes

Anne
