"Slow service, poor communication"

About: Lister Hospital

Having been referred by my dentist over 2 years ago (now nearly 3), I am still awaiting the procedure.

I was originally removed from the list nearly a year ago as I was due to have another procedure around the same time.

What followed was 5 months of trying every number I could, to be met with "mail box full, good bye" "we aren't open" or "you need to talk to this person...." That then lead to one of the previous 2 options.

My dentist followed up on my behalf, it took 2 more months to be called back in to start the process again, and on that day, despite knowing the X-rays machine had broken down before my appointment, I was still sent down there, where I sat for over an hour.

Then nothing for 2 months, where I was told I would be called back with in a wek.

2 weeks later I called to follow up, another day to speak with a consultant, who apparently booked an appointment for May, printed the letter then cancelled on the same day.

Those letters took 10 days to arrive.

Upon calling the given number to find out what was happening, I was told it wasn't something outpatients dealt with, and someone would call me back "later today or tomorrow, it depends how busy they are".

So here I am, nearly 3 years after this started, multiple phone calls, appointments and chase ups later, and still no date for the procedure.

I'm glad it is only low level, intermittent pain I am in, as apparently I am not seen as a priority or even on the list most of the time.

Not angry, not even really upset, just utterly disappointed
