"Dad’s palliative care"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Palliative Care

(as a relative),

My dad passed away in early April, 2025. He had been in and out of hospital since August. His last stay was six weeks. Palliative care was more involved during this time.

They were so good with my dad. My family is very small, myself and my son being dad’s only direct family. Palliative care stayed in touch both in hospital and over the phone. Arranging to meet with us in the ward (6c) They were a huge support for us.

Dear Ptfccaz,

Thank you so much for leaving your feedback at what must be a very difficult time for you and your family. It really makes a difference to the team to hear such kind words, and that they were able to make a difference in some small way.

I will make sure your comments are passed on to the ward, and the Palliative Care team. If I can be of any further help please do let me know.

Alistair
