Disappointed with my experience at the Long Covid Clinic. My initial review felt promising and was a good experience with a woman called Christina who was extremely thorough and made some referrals and I felt hopeful.
One referral was to mindfulness with Kate which I enjoyed and found really helpful and useful and had a great experience with. Another referral was for OT which was extremely disappointing. My appointment was 10 minutes long and I was told there was nothing that they could do to further help me. It wasn't even explained to me what they could do to help me and I didn't feel that any questions I asked were answered very well.
I also find it baffling that there are no doctors at the service and don't think there would be another health issue that you would be sent to a clinic to find no doctors are there which makes me feel that Long Covid isn't taken seriously. I didn't feel that reception were understanding if I had to rearrange an appointment due to not feeling well which is something that is part of Long Covid so that was also disappointing.
Finally, I was contacted to have a review as I had been unable to make it into clinic due to my symptoms and my review was to be with the same person who I had a 10 min OT appointment with. I requested for it to be with any other member of staff due to my bad previous experience but was told no. I was then discharged from the clinic by the same OT without a call or discussion saying this was going to happen.
