"Very disappointing"

About: WestMARC (West of Scotland Mobility and Rehabilitation Centre)

(as the patient),

My experience hasn't been positive. My nurse requested a wheelchair based on my height and weight. It was delivered but unsuitable for my needs.

Requesting a more suitable chair I was told these cost money and I have show I can use the unsuitable one in a very unhelpful meeting in Stirling. I spoke with my physio and they 100% agree the wheelchair isn't suitable.  So because of cost I've been told get my own one.

Not everyone with MS can do this.

Dear mercurynz46

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear about your experience and the difficulties you've faced in accessing a suitable wheelchair.

As Care Opinion is anonymous, would you be able to contact the Therapy Manager, Susan Gold at WestMARC, to discuss this further on 0300 790 0129.

Thank you

Nicole
