"All in all, an excellent experience"

About: Victoria Hospital / Day Intervention Unit

(as a service user),

I attended the Day Intervention Unit at Victoria hospital, Kirkcaldy for a scheduled colonoscopy due to blood being detected in my bowel screening sample.

I was taken on time, and the staff, from reception, examination theatre, and recovery ward were all friendly, informative and efficient. I was kept informed of my options, what was happening and results. It was as relaxing and enjoyable experience as possible in the circumstances.

I also received a phone call the week before, telling me what to expect on the day, and several information sheets.

All in all, an excellent experience.
