"Prescription Error"

My husband spoke with a GP from this practice via the 111 service as eas in need of urgent antibiotics during the Easter Holiday. The GP prescribed the medication and told us to collect from a pharmacy which was a 20 minute drive away. When we arrived at the pharmacy, the prescription could not be issued as there was an invalid digital signature amd there was nothing we could do. We had a completely wasted trip and went to A&E instead. Fortunately we had a car and I could drive us, but it would be even worse for someone having to take public transport being unwell too. It's unacceptable and I would hate for someone else to experience this. How something like this can even happen is beyond me.
