"Starting treatment"

I was very nervous, anxious and scared and really angry this was happening to me. I thought I could get away without treatment because I felt fine, just fatigued.

I got a phonecall from the haematology ward in craigavon to go in and start, I panicked and refused the first appointment, the second phonecall came a week later and I reluctantly went in.

The nurses were so nice, calm and reassuring,I was a bag of nerves but they were always there to support me.

I got my first treatment, very overwhelming, I didn't realise there were so many parts to it and I kept waiting for side effects. 

So far it has just been tiredness and they are keeping a close eye on me.

I couldn't speak highly enough of this ward and all their staff, I will just have to take one day at a time and hopefully get through it to thd other side.
