I had brought my daughter to urgent care due to developing a rash, I felt the doctor who seen her did not want to be there, when we were called they walked away so much, so as I had to say in the corridor, where did they go. They had zero approachability to kids, maybe hasn’t worked with them before and should have maybe sent us to a doctor who has. I’m not sure what they teach doctors but within the NMC we show professionalism regardless.
They did tell me my daughter probably has the start of chicken pox’s or an allergy, zero advice as what to do if it’s allergy based and their last words where hit that sliver button (in order to exit).
I have had to attend emergency department for my kids before, never had a problem, all staff brilliant along with maternity care. I was very much shocked at urgent care services. If you don’t want to be there simply don’t take a shift. I’m now going to have to wait till Tuesday when my GP re opens to get proper advice on allergies as my daughters rash is still apparent and urgent care did zero other than provide and appointment in the late evening and send us on our way.
Very disappointing and frustrating.
