As a first time mum, I depended greatly on my health visitors advice. I look forward each time to her visiting and always feel a lot more equipped and confident to look after my baby with the information provided and any questions answered.
With health visitors visiting, it means the parent can stay at home and the baby can stay settled in their own environment, saving the parent having to get themselves and baby ready to go out of the house, which is a great struggle alot of the time. It also means that there is less pressure on doctors and taking up appointments as questions can be answered by the health visitor, rather than going through a doctor.
It has been brought to my attention that the Trust may be putting a stop to health visitors. I would urge greatly for this not to happen as I depended greatly on my health visitor Bridgeen and wouldn’t have got through a lot of tough times if it wasn’t for her visiting and being on the other end of the phone.
I would be lost without my health visitor and I would love this support to continue for myself as well as other parents.
"I look forward each time to her visiting"
