"Very disappointed with the poor communication"

About: General Surgery / Ward 2 South General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery

(as the patient),

I am a long term patient under colorectal due to IBD. I had a health complication, as a result of previous surgery, which originally began in late 2023. The symptoms settled slightly, then unfortunately became a lot worse in June 2024.

I am very disappointed with the poor communication and constant chasing I am having to do in order to get appointments etc. I feel I am no further forward now than 10 months ago. This has started to take a toll on my physical and mental wellbeing.

I understand I am a complex patient, however this is having a massive impact on every aspect of my life, especially my personal life and also financially as I'm currently unable to work.
