"Awful scan “lady”"

About: Wycombe Hospital

Had my 20w baby scan.

First thing was how little she was saying with no reassurance. ( this is 5th baby so i have been to a few scans and all have been reassuring)

She asked me to “hold up my belly” im a little overweight but not massive.

Baby was in an awkward position so could not see heart properly. She said this was due to my weight and babies position. ( my 2nd baby i was thin and baby was in awkward place and i also had to go back for re scan )

She also said a couple of times during scan “because you are a bigger women”

She has booked me for a scan in a couple of week to re check these. Also a growth scan at 28w ( which she didnt tell me about but says in my notes )

Theres really no need to keep pushing the bigger person thing. This is baby 5 and have been “bigger” with my last three and breezed through pregnancy and birth.

I feel she was an “older” cold women who should not been doing this job. She did not take my photos vouchers and printed 5 pictures off even though 4 were the same imagine.

I feel she was cold and said more than needed as she was fat shaming.

She also mentioned not all hospitals look at what she did. ( never remember this check with others. )

So maybe making up her own rules???

If i have her again i will be walking out and going home.
