"Care I received after my amputation"

About: Community Services (Adult Physical Health) / Podiatry Talking Therapies Doncaster

(as a service user),

After my amputation of the toes on my left foot, I got a small wound that became infected. I was referred to the podiatry clinic in Cantley heath centre - the staff were knowledgeable, friendly and very efficient. I saw a few different podiatrists and eventually started seeing Anna. Anna made sure things happened for me to get my foot better. Because of where the wound was on the sole of my foot, it seemed to take forever to start healing properly. She kept my spirits up as I was feeling down with it, just by her friendly nature. She made sure other health care professionals saw me and did what they could to help, liaising between doctors and surgeons to get me the best care. I have recently had a minor surgery to smooth the bone in my foot and I firmly believe that it was Anna that helped to get this done quickly. The service the clinic provides, in my opinion, is first class even the receptionist realized I needed help other than my foot care. She talked to me every time I had an appointment and asked if I needed to speak to someone about my mental health. She had taken the time to get to know me and realized my mood had changed. She put me in contact with the talking therapy which has helped me. I have only really mentioned two of the staff but all of them are amazing I have nothing negative that I could say about Cantley health centre.
