"My mammogram visit."

About: Breast services / Breast Screening

(as the patient),

I was warmly welcomed on my arrival. I didn’t have to wait at all. I was shown to the changing room and asked to strip to my waist and put my cardigan back on, to cover my modesty, (thankfully I was wearing a cardigan.) I have mobility problems and the mammographer couldn’t have been more helpful and was very patient with me, putting me completely at ease. I’ve had mammograms before, so knew what to expect. Yes, they are a tad uncomfortable, but I can’t honestly say that they’ve ever hurt. Everything was wonderful and only took 20mins. My results were posted out the following week, which gave me the all clear.

I am delighted that you had a welcoming experience. It is very important to attend for your mammogram and so important that other ladies get positive feedback. It is a short appointment but you can feel very vulnerable, our staff are experienced and very professional. Glad that you got good news. Thankyou for your positive feedback.
