About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Had to bring my toddler to A&E due to recurring ear infections that went unresolved despite umpteen trips to the GP and subsequent doses of antibiotics.

All of the staff from the front desk to the nurses at the children’s ward were great and extremely professional despite how busy it was.

A special thank you to Dr Paterson for taking time to fully listen to our concerns and for explaining the next steps to hopefully a full recovery.

I am pleased to hear that you and your toddler were very well looked after by our dedicated and professional team. I hope you found the separate children's triage and treatment area to be helpful. I am sure Dr Patterson's empathy and taking the time to listen to your concerns would have been very reassuring for you both.

I will ensure your kind words are passed on to the whole team who I am sure will get a real boost in hearing it.
