"The care given to my mum"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My mum was admitted to A&E by ambulance after suffering a possible Stroke/TIA. She was seen quite quickly by a Triage nurse and then attended to by a doctor.

The compassion and care the doctor showed to my mum was wonderful and as we were travelling up for a family gathering, he tried to get her checked out with a scan and bloods as quickly as possible.

Other staff that we saw including the porter, the radiologist and those handing out food and drinks were also great, as were the two ambulance staff who attended to my mum. They were also very kind.

Thank you to all of you!

Hi KazandMags,

I'm really sorry to hear about your mum, that must have been so worrying for you all. I hope she's doing ok.

I'll leave my colleagues at NHS Lanarkshire to come back on your wider comments but I just wanted to thank you for the positive feedback about our staff at the Scottish Ambulance Service. Your kind comments are very much appreciated.

Please pass on our best wishes to your mum and thanks again.

Thanks
Mark
