"Good practice bad service"

About: Ambrose Avenue Group Practice

Trouble with getting an appointment, can’t see doctor you want to see anymore!, gone are the days you see your actual doctor who should know your health record. Get appointment with a nurse practitioner that undermines you. I know when I have tonsillitis!!! Said couldn’t see anything! I can see the white patches and in throat and voice box sore. Told viral and clear off basically. They even turned my mum away never mind 7 hours at an and e prior. She needed to see her doctor. Absolutely poor care and for the elderly this new system is diabolical , need more phone lines, more staff to man the phones and go back to the old system and be able to book appointments with a doctor you want to see and also in advance. I’m desperate to see my diabetic nurse and been fobbed off!. I couldn’t make my appointment on 3rd April due to illness ended up emailing to tell surgery! And asked for a new appointment and I’m being fobbed off! She sees me monthly due to my problems. I need to see her! Sort this mess out. Fuming to say the least.

We understand how frustrating it can be to face challenges when booking an appointment, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience you may have encountered. We're excited to inform you that you can now effortlessly submit your appointment requests online through our user-friendly Anima system.

In addition to our online options, we provide same-day appointments, available both in-person and over the phone for your convenience. You can also easily schedule appointments in advance using the NHS App.

Please appreciate that, as a busy practice dedicated to providing quality care, we prioritise every patient’s needs. Rest assured, in the event of an emergency, we will always ensure that you receive the attention and care you deserve.

If you’d like to discuss this further in person, I would be delighted to meet with you. Your satisfaction and comfort are our top priorities.

Thank you for your understanding

Warm regards,

Annie Bailey

Practice Manager
