"Fabulous person-centred care"

About: Emergency Department / Minor Injuries

(as a parent/guardian),

The last thing you want is to see your grandchild in pain and upset. Unfortunately this was the case when our 4 year old granddaughter fell off the climbing frame.

We had to visit minor injuries at UHW ED, where the staff did everything to make her and our family feel reassured & more comfortable.

The staff were fabulous and before long had our granddaughter smiling ☺️ Despite obvious pressures within the busy department, we can’t thank the team enough for the fabulous person-centred care. You are all angels 😇

Dear Rainbow3,

Thank you for sharing your experience of University Hospital Wishaw, Minor Injuries.

It must have been such a worrying time for you and your family when your granddaughter fell off the climbing frame and hurt herself. I am so pleased that all the staff supported you and looked after you all. It must have been very reassuring for you that the team made your granddaughter smile.

I will ensure your kind words are passed on to the whole team who I am sure will get a real boost in hearing your feedback.

I hope the little one is on the mend.

Best Wishes,

Jenni
