"Back to basics care"

I switched to this surgery last year after becoming disillusioned with the impersonal care and lack of continuity at my previous surgery.

The difference has been like night and day.They answer the phone quickly, follow up on tests, reply quickly to messages with a personalised response, keep track of long-term health problems, and generally make you feel cared for. I wish I'd switched to this practice years ago.

Yes the surgery itself feels a bit old fashioned and reminds me of GP practices from years gone by. But that's not a bad thing when it comes with the kind of great, personalised care you used to get, too.

Forget the huge amalgamated GP practices in flashy modern all-singing, all-dancing health centres with slogans that don't reflect their service at all, where you're just a name on a screen.

It's delightful to know that practices like this still exist.
