I have been coming to Radiotherapy, and I find all the staff to be really helpful - they go above and beyond to help people. They are all excellent, and always ask if you are ok and how you are doing. Staff in the x-ray department are all great too.

My schedule of appointments has been good - always here about the same time each morning. This works well because I meet the same folk each time I come and we all have a good chat - we are all in the same boat.

I know car parking is an issue for some people but I come very early to get a space and go for a walk in the woods before my appointment. However, I do feel a bit guilty about this because of taking up a space for longer than may be necessary.

But needs must........

I have no complaints at all about Radiotherapy and can’t think of any improvements that could be made.

Dear Breeze1, thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience of our Radiotherapy Department. My name is Bob, one of the Support Workers who would have welcomed you to our department. It is very encouraging to hear that our Therapeutic radiographers go above and beyond to care for our patients. I will pass on your kind words, thank you.

We do try to plan treatment appointments where possible, for the same time each day, in order that our patients can arrange their lives and transport around them. I am glad that this has worked well for you. Car parking, on the other hand, is indeed an ongoing issue which our Head of Department, Damian Parr continues to take to management meetings. Thankfully, you have sorted a workaround and can enjoy the woodlands around the hospital.

On behalf of everyone here, I hope you benefit from your treatments and wish you well for the future.
