About: Royal Cornhill Hospital / Maternity and Neonatal Psychological Intervention service

(as the patient),

In 2023 I gave birth to my son and suffered from a heamorage. Postnatal depression hit me really bad that I was referred onto the MNPI service. I have continued work with them until 2025. The work I under went with my psychologist was amazing. I was absolutely gutted when it had to end but I understand that on near me platform isn’t ideal in situations so therefore I needed to access face to face support in my area.

Dear membergr54,

Thank you for taking the time to share such a challenging postnatal experience resulting in a referral to the Maternity and Neonatal Psychological Intervention service (MNPI). I am pleased to hear that you felt so supported by the Psychologist involved in your care. We aim to support transitions to other services where we can but fully recognise this can be difficult when coming to the end of a supportive therapeutic contact. Please know that your feedback will be shared with the team and will be used to support MNPI service development going forward.

With thanks and warm wishes

Gill Strachan

Consultant Clinical Psychologist (MNPI)
