"I felt reassured to be in such capable and kind hands"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Breast Clinic

(as a service user),

Had to attend to have a lump checked which is inherently anxiety-provoking. The clinic and every single member of staff were great.

Initially having helpful people on the end of the phone when needed to re-arrange an appointment that arrived really quickly.

On the day the clinic is really slickly organised. Every single member of staff I encountered from receptionist to healthcare assistant, radiographer, specialist Dr, ANP was professional, clear, kind and I felt reassured to be in such capable and kind hands.

I can't recall all the names, but a special mention for Dr Carol, ANP Michaela and I think Barbara carrying out the mammogram. But all those chatting me through the ultrasound and biopsy were professional and kind.

The pathway is efficient whilst retaining a really important human, caring touch. I know exactly what the next steps are (MDT discussion and call in 9 days).

Thank you to all at NHS Forth Valley breast clinic. I cannot imagine how such a slick, inter-professional and cross-discipline pathway could ever run so well in a system where private providers are involved.
