Had a CT chest scan as part of the lung health check programme, and have been awaiting the results .
I saw on my GP records that I had been referred on 2 week wait pathway for suspected lung cancer, yet I have had no contact at all about the result, referral or appointment.
There are 8 separate letters that have been sent to my GP, only I have not been sent a single one.
I learned of possible lung cancer only by reading my own records.
Respiratory medicine, to which I was referred, have apologised, still I have no copies of any letters ,yet they are sent to the GP?
Incompetence, human error, or poor practices, a patient should themselves be informed of their own health issues, not have to chase them up.
Already a double renal cancer patient.
"Scan results - not being informed"
