"Seating facilities"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Orthopaedic Ward B23

(as the patient),

Having returned for a post op after having a full knee replacement I was led into a waiting area with extremely low seats. This was after seeing the occupational health nurse about having cushions and extended toilet seats sent to my home to assist me standing up. Yet the seats in the waiting area are impossibly low for a very recent knee replacement patient.

Good morning,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. This is valid and valued feedback and makes a good point for patient experience and something that should be relatively straightforward to improve on going forward. Myself and Kevin McCloskey, Senior Charge Nurse for Orthopaedic Outpatients have discussed this and we are now looking into ordering high back, higher chairs for the waiting area for patients who require that additional support.

Kind regards,

Alex
