"Professional and personable staff"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Accident and emergency Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / General surgery South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as the patient),

I recently had the necessity to attend the Royal Devon & Exeter hospital (Wonford) A&E department at the behest of the wonderful 111 service.

From the moment I arrived, every interaction I had with a member of staff was as good as anyone could hope for. Without exception, each & every one of them were professional & personable.

Unfortunately, following diagnosis I had to have a two night stay at the hospital. Initially, I was temporarily on Abbey Ward & then moved to Exe Ward.

To say that the theme of my experience continued is no exaggeration. I’m unsure as to to name individuals, in part because I'm unsure as to whether that’s appropriate on this forum, allied with the concern that I may inadvertently omit someone & I’d be mortified if any omission were to be seen as a sleight by anyone.

I did personally thank as many people as I could when an opportunity arose. However, I thought it appropriate to put my gratitude & awe in writing.
