"She made the whole experience much better"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire

(as a service user),

My 8 week old baby had an appointment to receive his first vaccines mid April in the morning at Carluke Health Centre. I am unsure of the nurse's name who administered the vaccine but she did tell me she was retiring in the next few months. I just wanted to say how lovely she was. It's a very nerve wracking experience and she instantly put me at ease. She was warm, friendly, very professional and informative. I could've chatted to her all day. She made the whole experience much better. She is a fantastic nurse and

I feel like she will be a massive loss to the NHS when she retires!

Dear Emmamt306,

Thank you for sharing your experience with your babies vaccinations.

I am delighted to hear that the nurse put you at ease and helped you to relax during what is a very worrying time. It makes such a difference when you have someone chatty, friendly and kind supporting you.

Unfortunately, GP practices are independant contractors and as such are not registered to respond on Care Opinion. Please could I ask that you contact the practice manager to ensure your lovely words are shared with the relevant staff member?

Best Wishes,

Jenni
