About: St Michael's Hospital / Trauma & Orthopaedics (including fracture/hand clinic)

(as a relative),

My mother had a hip replacement operation late March 2025. Due to some complications with her health which were age related, her recovery took longer than anticipated. The care provided by all the staff was second to none. She was looked after by kind, attentive and extremely helpful staff.

My mother felt guilty as she was aware that she should have been discharged within a couple of days following the operation, but she wasn't discharged until a week later. We can't thank the hospital enough for the care provided. Not only were the staff wonderful but the hospital was so clean.

Thank you so much to all the staff for looking after my mother.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share this positive feedback with us following your mother’s recent admission. My name is Natasha Andrews, and I am the Governance Manager for St Michael's Hospital.

I am so pleased to hear that the care provided to her was second to none and that all the staff were kind, attentive and extremely helpful. It’ also lovely to hear that the hospital was so clean.

I will make sure that your comments are passed onto the teams involved. It's always lovely to hear directly from the patients themselves and the teams will be very thankful.
