"The counsellor was wonderful"

About: St Johns Hospice / St John’s counselling

(as a service user),

James is the name of the counsellor, and I have had bereavement counselling. For the needs I had at the time I don’t think it could have been any better. James listened a lot and made a few comments and it really helped me through a really stressful time of loss. The sessions were an hour, and they went by so quickly and he seemed to think I had done really really well. And he said if I needed to go back again I could go back for my counselling. James had so much patience with me and he was very understanding. He didn’t suggest anything but gave me the space to talk to someone. He was very, very good. The rest of the staff were also very good.

Hello

I just want to say thank you so much for your lovely comments regarding your counselling with James. I am so pleased that you had a such a positive experience and that the counselling helped you process your grief at such a difficult time. I will pass your comments onto James and as he is a student counsellor I know your comments will mean a lot to him and his future development.

Take care

Kerry Griffiths
