Idid not pick this service and thought I was under NHS care, I only found out after lots of investigation that I was forced into there care without be alerted or asked for consent.
When I was sent to their list it was a 12 month wait to assessment. It took 30!!! Whenever I enquired I was told there’s just a long wait time. I had to fight hard spending a ridiculous amount of time going between them and my dr to get seen. As far as I can tell they lost the referral and refuse to admit fault.
When it comes to mediation it quite frankly feels dangerous. You are never aloud to speak to anyone having to rely on a text box on their site, leading to core concerns going unaddressed. Ridiculously bad if you have any other difficulties such as dyslexia.
When you do muster the bravery to ask a question they will refuse to provide a direct answer. You will need to ask multiple times for clarification on simple points, just to get a legible response. It is akin (if not actually) talking to AI. I have even had a response saying “I cannot explain this in any way”.
They have failed to send me monitoring forms showing how little they care about my wellbeing and failed to check my medical history before prescribing drugs.
They have the audacity to try and enforce a 3 marks and your discharged system. I’ve had to contact them multiple times to get imagined infractions removed.
If you do get medication do not let them send it to your house. They won’t even give you a hours notice regarding the day and time, DPD are quick to return the package, despite Psychiatry-uk staff saying I can reschedule it. For me this led to no medication. 111, A&E, the pharmacy and my drs were all unable to help as Psychiatry-uk do not share the medication information. (This means in an emergency situation Drs would not know that the medication is in your system.)
Despite the urgency I was given no time frame from Psychiatry-uk to when the issue would even be addressed. This has led to me having to plan for the worse as the deadline approaches to when I will be forced to suffer painful withdrawal symptoms that will worsen my pre-existing issues. No advice has been given on how to manage this.(As Psychiatry-UK is the care provider no one else will give any advice.)
I appreciate most of us do not have any other options than to put up with this poor service but if there is an alternative available to you please consider it for your own well being, as this truly feels like a abusive relationship.
Please note that if they mark something as urgent it won’t mean anything will actually happen. I appreciate they don’t consider them selfs an emergency service and refuse to provide any out of hours care but when actual emergency services state it’s Psychiatry-UK duty to resolve an emergency issue it highlights the level of thoughtlessness they have.
Please remember you are just a number and a bank check to these people.
"Danger, avoid!!!"
