"High level of care, professionalism and dedication"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

My son had to be admitted with back pain through A&E. Paramedics Carlene and Lesley attended and were so warm and reassuring to him while he was in so much pain. They overcame the challenge of the stairs without any fuss and with the support from another crew, removed him to the ambulance with such care and using humour to help him overcome his embarrassment.

Then onto A&E, all staff were so professional and attentive despite being busy. Keeping us informed and using those ‘soft’ skills that make any patient and family experience so much less worrying.

Thank you everyone. You were all amazing.

Hi muscabb64,

Sorry to hear that your son had to be admitted recently. I hope he's doing ok now and recovering well. It's great to see that he was so well cared for by our staff Carlene and Lesley though and they delivered such high standards of care. They will really appreciate your positive feedback and your warm words.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience and to say thank you. It's really good of you.

Take care,

Mark

Dear muscabb64

I would like to add my thanks to those of my colleague Mark in the Scottish Ambulance Service, for taking the time and trouble to share this lovely feedback about the care provided within the Emergency Department, University Hospital Crosshouse.

I am sorry to hear that your son needed to attend the hospital with back pain, but glad to know that he received such prompt, professional and compassionate care from all of our staff there. It’s often the small things that can make such a difference, such as taking time to reassure patients and put them at ease, resulting in a positive experience for them.

When times are challenging, it’s always nice to hear such positive feedback from our patients and their relatives and it will be my pleasure to share your feedback with the wider Team in the Department. I know they will all be delighted to receive this feedback and to know that your son felt so well supported whilst he was under their care

Please accept my best wishes for your son’s ongoing recovery and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge your care experience.

Kind Regards

Pamela
