"I felt like royalty"

About: University Hospital Monklands / General Surgery (Wards 4 & 7)

(as the patient),

I had a few stays in Monklands from February until October 2024 and 1 more stay in February 2025,  with pancreatitis.

Every one  of my stays included extended stays in ward 4, and each and every time I got admitted the staff could not have been more caring, nothing was a bother to them.

I felt like royalty with the care and attention I received from every single member of staff - including the doctors, the nurses and even the cleaners and porters, all of whom were absolutely amazing, in fact it felt like being on holiday.

I cannot thank each and every one of them enough for making my stays in Monklands as comfortable as possible.

Dear Wullie mac

Thank you for taking the time to post your positive experience whilst being a patient in ward 4. I am delighted that you felt well cared for by all members of the team.

I have forwarded your comments on to the Senior Charge Nurse of ward 4 so that she can share your comments with the whole team.

I hope you are recovering well.

Kind regards

Gavin Morrison
