"Excellent standard of care"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / General surgery Grantham & District Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a service user),

I have just been discharged from ward 1 and Grantham Hospital in Lincolnshire following a total hip replacement.

I have been so impressed with the care that I received from every level/grade and job role. Nothing has been too much trouble.

Everyone has showed me kindness and compassion. Everything was explained to me along the way. All staff are professional but at the same time are friendly and approachable.

I had my other hip operated on at Grantham two years ago and I’m pleased to say that the same high standard of care that I received then still remains.

Thank you so much. You have all made an unpleasant experience bearable.

Thank you for the amazing comments and assuring us that you have had a really good experience with us, as yes, surgery is a very nervous time and also very stressful, but it sounds like the staff kept all of your fears allayed and helped you to get through the surgery.

The team work so hard to deliver the nest care they can possible give with the resources we have and this proves that we are getting it right. The team including the housekeepers and theatres, one team which is the elective hub.

I hope you are recovering well and please take care and it is for myself as Matron such a morale boost to hear the standards are just as high as they were 2 years ago, as that is what we strive to achieve.
