"My recent surgery"

I just want to say a very big thank you to all those NHS staff involved in supporting me on the Surgical Unit Ward One at Grantham Hospital, plus the pre-surgery communication from anaesthetist, nurses, OT and physios in Louth, Lincoln and Grantham.

I received a follow up monitoring phone call from the Surgical Ward which prompted me to send this note of thanks which I am sending to facilitate my personal thanks going straight to all the people involved in my care. The person who rang me was interested in my progress and to check if I had managed to obtain an appointment with a nurse at my local GP surgery for clip removal which I had. Market Rasen GP surgery is one of the best. 

My thanks to my Consultant Mr Feeney, Nurse Alison in Louth, my pre-op anaesthetist Dr Jaggernauth and to my excellent attentive surgeon Dr Arafa, plus the anaesthetist and his assistant who were also excellent (I did not note their names on the day).

Post surgery follow up later on the day and during recovery and on the surgical ward was really personalised and helpful.

Special thanks to my dedicated and discharge nurse Jana and to the staff who took me to theatre and cared about my nutrition and others who were involved in my care.

My reason for sending this brief note is that I am grateful to all the people above who were involved and I am doing well.
