What I liked
Not a lot! Was admitted for the removal of my gallbladder.
What could be improved
Nurses could be more caring and answer patients' calls more rapidly instead of staying at the front desk chatting. The food is absolutely lousy-surely improvements could be made? Visitors adhered to washing their hands with antibacterial gel on coming into the ward-no nurse or doctor did that. The main and utmost concern is that I was put in a mixed ward. This undermined my health greatly. There is no way women and men should be together after any kind of operation.
Anything else?
The nurses could smile a bit - we didn't ask to be put into hospital - we are there for treatment, operations that are, most of the time, very painful and not knowing what's happened, happening or about to happen makes it 10 times worse.
