"Excellent nursing"

About: Victoria Hospital / Colorectal Unit

(as a service user),

Would just like to say a huge thank you to an amazing Nurse, SCN Bob on Ward 44 at the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy.

I have been in and out of hospital most of my adult life and can honestly say I’ve never met such a conscientious and caring health professional, nothing was too much trouble for Bob, he always responded quickly to the buzzer and never forgot a request, he was calm and confident during procedures I was unsure of, told me exactly what was happening and what to expect, he was also amazing at giving injections, even the DVT injection didn’t sting when administered by Bob.

He was always kind to trainee nurses, taking the time to give them insights into how the patient might feel and giving them clear directions as to what he was doing and why.

Really an amazing guy, wish there were many more like him.
