"I never thought I'd be seen so quickly"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Early Pregnancy Assessment Service

(as a service user),

I was taken into wishaw EPAS unit last Thursday early on, I was in my first trimester, 7 years previously I had a similar thing happen however with devastating consequences.

I arrived early and was seen immediately, although I was high risk I never thought I'd be seen so quickly. I was being closely monitored by a lovely midwife (Tracey) and although the pain I was feeling I still felt reassured that she was doing everything in her power to get me the treatment I needed, from taking the time to talk me through the scanning process, the consultant and beyond.

The kindness, compassion and empathy she showed me and my partner was first class.

Unfortunately my outcome wasn't as we had hoped. However with the care I received I'll be forever grateful.
